General Manager for Matt Buckley Tractor Spares
Reporting to: Matt Buckley
Purpose: Provide the effective running of Matt Buckley Tractors Spares Ltd.
Key Requirements:
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills resulting in a strong and capable team
- Highly organized with robust planning ability
- A high level of retail commercial awareness integrated with a good sense of business acumen
- Understand and implement the objectives, policies and new developments in progress of Matt Buckley Tractor Spares Ltd/QTP.
Duties:
- Ensure the smooth day to day running of the company.
- Bring cost saving in relation to overheads and other measures of cost effectiveness of the business in general.
- Co-ordination of Purchasing Team and Stock Control to ensure a reduction of “out of stock” items and ensuring that the overall stocking level is adequate without being overstocked.
- Co-ordination of credit control issues including non-payments, arrears and outstanding amounts.
- Co-ordination of Purchasing Ledger with regard to credit terms, advance payments or unusual requests for payment to Suppliers.
- Sales Manager co-ordination with regard to movement in target sales both from a customer and sales person performance either in-house or field sales.
- Expansion of sales into Europe by advertisement and recruitment of extra sales managers in order to develop new business in Europe.
- Research and Development co-ordination with regard to sourcing and promotion of new products.
- Assess the past and current performance of the company and set future standards and targets for the MD’s approval.
- Co-ordinate the company’s monthly accounts reporting and prepare for quarterly accounts meetings.
- Consult with each department and review current work in progress. Review problems in each area and sort accordingly.
- Approve the selection of staff.
- Review and advise on currency fluctuations for both sales and purchasing areas of business on a monthly basis.
- Co-ordination with stores personnel with regard to goods in/out, merchandising, health and safety and other warehousing issues.

Sales and Marketing Manager
Key Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have:
- Strong Leadership skills
- Sales and Marketing qualification or a number of years experience at senior level
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to lead, motivate and manage our existing Sales Team
- Mechanical or agricultural background is essential
Duties
- Manage the day to day issues in both telesales and field sales
- Organise the training of new and existing staff by increasing product knowledge and selling techniques
- Set and meet realistic targets
- Provide information regarding customers and products to target
- Analysis of current customer and product performance based on past history
- Identify product trends and address issues with regard to pricing, supply and target markets i.e. fast/slow moving stock
- Identify customer trends and address issues with regard to pricing, supply and customer service
- Provide product details for marketing purposes
- Provide product details for research and development
- Provide target market for marketing purposes
- Identify the existing and future market
- Liaise with Research and Development with regard to new product lines
- Liaise with Field Representatives regarding issues in the marketplace
- Liaise with Purchasing and Warehouse Manager regarding stocking levels
- Present daily and monthly sales figures to Management.
- Organise and present monthly sales meetings.
Purchasing Manager
Key Requirements:
The successful candidate should have:
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Computer literate
- At least 5 years of purchasing/procurement/inventory and sourcing
- Engineering or Agricultural engineering background would be a distinct advantage
- Commitment to detail and be capable of working to tight deadlines while leading the purchasing team.
Duties:
- Manage and lead the purchasing team, organizing and planning with other team members
- All aspects of stock control
- Build on the company’s success by reviewing purchasing practices and structuring in the short, medium and long term
- Negotiate supply and payment agreements with a view to creating best value and supply in the best interests of the company
- Ensure terms and conditions and supply contracts meet company objectives
- Liaise with Sales Manager to ensure adequate stocks at all times due to seasonal variations
- Liaise with Research and Development in order to secure best deals on new and existing products
- Resolve supplier issues, negotiate new contracts and monitor supplier performance.
- Ensure continuing quality of existing and new products
Web Design and Marketing with Desktop Publishing
Key Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have:
- Third Level Web Design with Marketing qualification.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and desktop publishing
- Excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills
- Extensive experience of web design and maintenance.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Marketing flair.
- Ability to work well under pressure, on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Microsoft Office proficient
Duties:
- To update and redesign our current website.
- Improve online content for marketing purposes.
- Prepare flyers and promotional material.
- Format content to match the Company’s website.
- Testing and previewing website pages.
- Design and improve on-line catalog for customer friendliness.
- Maintain an update existing catalogues of parts and provide constant improvements.
- Liaise with Research and Development with regard to new products and promotions.
- Liaise with Sales Manager for promotional information and seasonal campaigns.
