Sales and Marketing Manager

Key Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have:

  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Sales and Marketing qualification or a number of years experience at senior level
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate and manage our existing Sales Team
  • Mechanical or agricultural background is essential

Duties

  • Manage the day to day issues in both telesales and field sales
  • Organise the training of new and existing staff by increasing product knowledge and selling techniques
  • Set and meet realistic targets
  • Provide information regarding customers and products to target
  • Analysis of current customer and product performance based on past history
  • Identify product trends and address issues with regard to pricing, supply and target markets i.e. fast/slow moving stock
  • Identify customer trends and address issues with regard to pricing, supply and customer service
  • Provide product details for marketing purposes
  • Provide product details for research and development
  • Provide target market for marketing purposes
  • Identify the existing and future market
  • Liaise with Research and Development with regard to new product lines
  • Liaise with Field Representatives regarding issues in the marketplace
  • Liaise with Purchasing and Warehouse Manager regarding stocking levels
  • Present daily and monthly sales figures to Management.
  • Organise and present monthly sales meetings.

Purchasing Manager

Key Requirements: 
The successful candidate should have:        

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Computer literate
  • At least 5 years of purchasing/procurement/inventory and sourcing
  • Engineering or Agricultural engineering background would be a distinct advantage
  • Commitment to detail and be capable of working to tight deadlines while leading the purchasing team.

Duties:

  • Manage and lead the purchasing team, organizing and planning with other team members
  • All aspects of stock control
  • Build on the company’s success by reviewing purchasing practices and structuring in the short, medium and long term
  • Negotiate supply and payment agreements with a view to creating best value and supply in the best interests of the company
  • Ensure terms and conditions and supply contracts meet company objectives
  • Liaise with Sales Manager to ensure adequate stocks at all times due to seasonal variations
  • Liaise with Research and Development in order to secure best deals on new and existing products
  • Resolve supplier issues, negotiate new contracts and monitor supplier performance.
  • Ensure continuing quality of existing and new products
